Dorothy, We’re Not in Kansas Anymore

Rob Mezzapelli, Christine Cooper, Marolyn Morrison and Patti Foley believe that our Caledon is our choice
Actually we were enjoying the spacious backyard and lovely home of friend and campaign supporter Christine Cooper. The occasion? Well, the ruby red shoes on the front of her party invites communicated the theme very well. “There’s no place like home” was a line we all remember from The Wizard of Oz and “There’s no place like Caledon for Home” was the theme for Christine’s party.
Christine billed the event as an opportunity to “meet the candidates we feel are the best choices to make sure that our Caledon remains our choice”. Those candidates, Mayor Morrison, Rob Mezzapelli and myself, were graciously joined by about 60 local residents under the Caledon moon to enjoy locally-grown corn on the cob, Bolognese Pasta by the food diva herself, and a knock-your-socks-off cake by award-winning designer Barb Accogli from Cake Star that featured (you guessed it) ruby shoes on top.
And while the food was wonderful, and the evening as perfect a September night as you could wish for, the real joy came from having a group of awesome Caledon friends and neighbours, all in one place, all with an undeniable passion for their community, and all with a common goal – to see that our community gets to hang on to the things that we love, the things that brought us here in the first place……to ensure that our Caledon remains our choice.
Patti,
It was our honour to host this evening on behalf of who we know are the right candidates
for Caledon. It was an absolutely wonderful evening of friendship, laughter and most importantedly, hope. Hope that Caledon, and in particular my beloved Village of Bolton, will finally have the leadership it truly deserves.
Best of luck to you, Rob Mezzapelli & Marolyn Morrison for a positive and successful campaign.
Just remember….click your heels together three times and say “there’s no place like home….there’s no place like home….there’s no place like home…..”
Respectfully,
Christine
